CM Storm Scout

Christopher Fredriksson

The CM Storm Scout case comes with a black interior and matches the outside much better than the Sniper case did.

The inside is fitted with the motherboard paper just like the Sniper which tells you where to place the standoffs to install your motherboard. We can also see that the case is large enough to fit high-end graphic cards as they are a bit longer than mid-range and lower end graphic cards.

We find a total of five drive bays in which one of them there is a 5.25 inch to 3.5 inch converter installed.

Below we find the disk drive rack where you can install as much as five disk drives, in front of those there is an intake fan, with red leds.

Down by the power supply we find an air filter which can be removed when it needs to be cleaned.

Looking up a bit over where the power supply is meant to be we find the expansion slots and as you can see these are secured with plastic details, except the cable guard which has a thumbscrew.

Further up we find the exhaust fans, one in the back and one in the top of the case. The back one is fitted with red leds and the top one is all black.

Together with the case comes zip ties, screws, 2,5 inch disk drive converter so it can be installed in a 3.5 inch disk drive rack. We also have a manual if there is something you need to lookup about the case.

All in all, it looks like a pretty solid case so let’s head over to next page where I’ll show you the lights with the installed system together my conclusion and score for the CM Storm Scout case.
