Antec P182

Christopher Fredriksson

We have today tested the P182 which is a clean looking case in the performance series from Antec. The case is very stylish and gives us many features other chassis only dream about.

However, the inside is a bit cramped and you will not be able to install E-ATX boards and you might have problems using the middle drive bay with two disk drives when using long graphic cards. Problems also arise when you try to route your PSU cables in a nice fashion as the inside is rather small.

Perhaps they should make a new revision on the case, keep everything as it is and just add perhaps 5 or 10cm on the depth. Sure the case will be a little longer, a little heavier. But we could use a good looking case with the newest hardware available without problems.

Our four 5.25 inch external bays are well enough and we are still offered an external 3.5 inch bay.

A big plus for the case is the installed fan filters in the front and the good looking hdd and power leds.

Inside your case side doors are dampening materials which lower the noise from the case a lot. This really is needed when you can add a few fans in it.

All in all, it’s a cramped inside, but it’s a hell of outside, very stylish and clean chassis which deserve a high score.

I have also noticed that the newer P190 might have solved all our worries with this case ;)

I would like to thank both Antec and the Swedish PR agency LEWIS PR for sending me the sample.
