Corepad Deskpads & Kiera white
Next up we take a look at the Kiera Medium sized mousepad, in white. It is also available in black for those who think that fits their setup better.
Compared to the deskpads which are soft and made out of cloth with rubber backing, the Kiera is a hard plastic surface with a rubber backing.
- Finely textured medium friction hard plastic material
- Extreme precision and tracking options
- Compatible with all mice
- Non-slip rubber backing
- Easy cleanable
- 315 x 255 x 2.0 mm / 12.40 x 10.00 x 0.08 in
It is of course much smaller than the deskpads, it is certainly very easy to clean, it claims to be compatible with more or less all mice available on the market and it should offer extreme precision and tracking.
Alright well, let’s head on to the testing shall we.
As with previous tests, the MX518 is the mouse of choice. My mouse does great on the Kiera pad, it is smooth and gives great control over my pointer on the screen. At some point the mouse jumped a little bit, but that rarely happened. It could have been some dirt that made it onto the surface and in between the mouse and the pad.
Thanks to the non-slip rubber backing the mousepad also stayed in place, even during heavy action trying to move it off my rubbing my hands on top of it.
The only downside with a white mousepad is that I believe it can get quite dirty after a while, even if you continue to clean it, it must show some sort of wear such as yellowing or the like. Nothing special just for this mousepad, but if you think about it, all white items we own get some color changes over time.
My personal choice is of course also black, because it doesn’t show dirt and the like as much. However, for a mac-fan you could most probably be loving the white Kiera as Apple products are white in general.
All in all, the Kiera is a great mousepad as well.
I would also like to thank Corepad for sending us these mousepads, as well as the professional communication we had with them.
