Antec TruePower Quattro 1000W

Christopher Fredriksson

Our testing system, as before, is powered with the following components;

  • Intel Core2Duo E6600 @ 2.4GHz 4MB FSB1066
  • Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 iP965
  • XFX GeForce 8800GTX XXX 630MHz GPU 768MB DDR3
  • 2 GB Corsair XMS2-6400 Twin2X2048
  • 3x Western Digital WD2500JS 250GB 7200rpm 8MB SATA2
  • Windows Vista Ultimate

We gather the information from our “Fluke 87-III digital multimeter (Accuracy ±0.05%)” during stress-tests for both our processor and graphics card. This ensures that we get accurate values similar to when hardcore gamers are doing two headshots per minute, or more ;)

Our Antec TruePower Quattro 1000W is rated at ATX12V v2.2 tolerance for voltages, which states how much each output (rail) is allowed to fluctuate and has tighter tolerances now for the +12V outputs than before. That means that we should get some decent numbers with this power supply.
